Greetings All!
September and October are quite busy.  This past weekend my good friend of over 20 years Dana, we hit the road and went camping up on the Mogollon Rim north of Payson.  It's always good to sit around the fire talking and watching the stars.  I was trying out my new Nikon D700.  Made some interesting images of the full moon "Full Moon Burst" as I call it.
I leave on the 19th for Seattle to photograph four Shilo Inns in Tacoma,WA. Ocean Shores,WA.  Warrenton,OR & Tillamook OR.  I should have time to hit Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens also which will be sweet!
The  29th of September I will be up on the Kaibab Plateau/North Rim of the Grand Canyon on assignment for Arizona Highways Magazine shooting for the October 2009's cover.  They want a tar road with double yellow lines, curve or no curve, but I need Golden Aspens on both sides of the road!  OH.... is that all!  No problem? So we will see, I will be up there for about a week traveling every road in the area.  What ever it takes to get the shot.
The 8th of October I fly to Spokane,WA. for more Shilo Inns.  Coeur d'Alene, ID with a stop over at Glacier National Park for hopefully some great fall color! Then off to Moses Lake and Richland, WA Shilos.  I have a day to drive through the rich farm land of the Palouse region S.E. corner of the state on my way back to Spokane.
I still have three more Shilos in Oregon to do in Oct!  I better get going!  Take care until next time.

The last few months Arizona Highways Magazine has been keeping me busy shooting some beautiful b&b's & restaurants.  Hacienda de la Mariposa in Camp Verde is more like a resort than a b&b and it is simply beautiful. The owners Reggie & Kat Vinson are great people and what interesting lives they have had!  Many gold records grace the walls of there home. Reggie has played guitar with John Lennon, Johnny Cash and a ton of other superstars. www.lamariposa-az.com

If you are in the mood for some authentic mexican food you will find it at cafe Elote in Sedona in the upper level of the Kings Ransom Hotel off highway 179.  Award-winning Chef Jeff Smedstad make tasty and fresh cuisine starting at 5:00pm www.kingsransomsedona.com

In the Chino Valley you will find the quint charm of the Teapot Inn.  Owners Jim & Vera French will make you feel right at home in no time.  Bring your appetite and ask for the pie! www.teapotinn.com

Hidden Meadow Guest Ranch in the beautiful White Mountains of Eastern Arizona is another great getaway! There are plenty horse activities to keep you in the saddle for hours. Plus trout fishing in there own pond! The food is awesome!  When I was there I had one of the best steaks in my life.  My wife's quail was also excellent. www.hiddenmeadow.com

Until next time.

Phoenix Aerial Work.

Out of state clients have been calling left and right, which is good for me!  Here are a few aerial images  from my last two helicopter flights.  A big thanks goes out to my pilot Matt V. over at Gold Coast Helicopters at Glendale Airport.  He makes the flying look to easy!  It's like sitting on my couch at home, but with a lot better view.
